FAQ

“What is a zine?”
A zine (short for magazine) is an unofficial project by independent creators, centered around a particular theme. Zines are usually passion projects, celebrating its topic— which in fandom, tends to be a character, ship, or story— by compiling it into a magazine-like format.
In our case, this zine will contain art, writing, and digital merch!
“Will this zine have spoilers?”
Yes, this Zine will be covering the entirety of TAZ: Ethersea and will include spoilers for this campaign. There will not be any spoilers for any of the other TAZ campaigns.
“Will this zine be SFW?”
Yes, this zine will be safe for work. We would rate the maturity on this as PG-13.
“Will the zine be physical or digital?”
This will be a digital zine.
“Will this zine contain shipping?”
Possibly. Probably.
"How canon is it?"
We want this zine to be as canon-compliant as possible.
“How old do you have to be to apply?”

“How many contributors will be accepted?”
We will be accepting 10 writers, 25 Artists, and 5 Merch artists.
“Can I apply for multiple contributor roles?”
You can apply for multiple contributor roles, but will only be accepted for one.
“What parts of the story will the zine feature?”
The zine will feature anything within the scope of the podcast, including shoreside/prologue, the interim, and the time the Coriolis Crew is active. It may also cover post-canon.
“Are AUs allowed?”
Outside of post-canon content, we will not be allowing any AUs or canon divergence.

Meet the Mods!

Mod Sierra

Head and Graphics Mod

Sierra is our editor/formatter (and the unofficial CEO of Ethersea -Sameer), putting everything together and making sure it looks nice and fits properly. She has experience formatting, theming, editing, and managing collaborative group work when she was the editor-in-chief of her school's yearbook. This is her first zine, but she's participated in and organized community events such as a server Secret Santa and @tazsapphicweek. If you are active in the Ethersea fan community you may be familiar with Sierra in one way or another, whether it's from reblogging one of your posts, her many doodles and rambles, or from her work on the TAZ wiki. Her favorite Ethersea character is Kodira, but also Amber, followed closely by Zoox. Maybe she likes this podcast too much to be decisive.

Mod Sameer

Art Mod

Sameer is the art mod for this zine. They have experience running community events such as the Trans Nureyev Minibang and the project sekai $pee server zine. They have also participated in multiple zines as an artist, including Aerti's Flower Power and Vocaloid Tarot. Their favorite character in Ethersea is Amber Gris and her big, strong arms (all four of them!) They made the beloved beautiful art of Amber and Oksana that you've undoubtedly seen if you've ever come into contact with Sierra's blog.

Mod Rin

Writing Mod

Rin is our writing mod. You may know him as the creator and head moderator of the Blinkshark Appreciation Club server. He has also particpated in the TAZ Candlenights event and was a writer on the Persona 5 shuake Rivals zine. He likes writing about grief and related emotions, so as you can imagine he's a big, big fan of Ethersea, and particularly of Devo la Main. (He is the coolest guy and herder of blinksharks. - Sierra)
